On June 24th, northern and central Venezuela were struck by two devastating twin earthquakes of 7.2 and 7.5 magnitudes. The impact on infrastructure, utilities, and emergency services has been severe, particularly in heavily affected areas like La Guaira and Caracas.
The crisis is ongoing, with the scale of the destruction being profound and thousands of families in urgent need of support.
This is a call to action for AIESECers past and present. Distance doesn’t limit the impact you can make. While communities on the ground face an incredibly difficult road to recovery, the global community has a vital role to play. Your help is needed now! You can provide the immediate relief and hope these families need.
At present, donations can be made through Caritas, which has a long track record of humanitarian aid, poverty reduction, community development, emergency response, and social services.
