AIESEC ALUMNI International Meeting / AAIM 2012

AIESEC Alumni International Meeting 2012, hosted by AIESEC Hungary
from 16th to 19th February 2012 registration is open! As indicated above, the dates for the next AAIMeeting will be from Thursday February 16th (Dinner) to Sunday February 20th (Lunch). These dates coincide with AIESEC’s International Presidents’ Meeting (IPM), which is being held near the Lake of Balaton in Tapolca. There will be ‘business’ and ’social’ occasions to interface with the student body and with its leadership. The Alumni programme is scheduled to begin in Budapest for the Thursday Dinner and continue into Friday mid-afternoon. During the Friday we will have sessions with external speakers from Business and Government, following which we will be conveyed to the Balaton site where the programme continues into Saturday and Sunday morning, probably when the GA will take place.   After the Sunday Lunch in Tapolca buses will take participants back to Budapest while those attending the Study Tour will begin with a Wine Tasting experience by visiting wineries on the Balaton shores and continuing onto an enriching visit to the "Pearl of the Danube" - Budapest.   For scheduling purposes - and so as to catch the "cheap fares" - try to arrive in Budapest in the early afternoon of Thursday 16th and, if not participating in the Study Tour, and depart on the late flights on Sunday 19th.For those joining the Study Tour, return flights should be scheduled for late afternoon on Tuesday 21st. We want to strengthen the new relationship and invite all our members and friends to the upcoming international oriented alumni events. For the future it is the most efficient and feasible solution for AAI to plan our major annual reunions to coincide with AIESEC events. In 2008 AIESEC has given many opportunities to its alumni body to meet again on national and international level. More than 4.000 alumni followed the invitation to celebrate the 60th anniversary of AIESEC around the globe together with old and new fellows and the AIESEC body. AAI wanted to continue the success of these worldwide alumni reunion events. At the AAI congress in Brussels, 2008, the plenary agreed to help AIESEC to stay in contact with its international alumni body by initiating and supporting regular international alumni conference. Since 2009 two "AIESEC Alumni International Meetings" (AAIM) are implemented in AIESECs yearly diary, parallel to AIESEC´s IPM in February and the IC in August.
